The Community is the Answer conference in happening in Galsgow Scotland, June 9 - 11, 2014. Hosted by the International Assocation for Community Development the conference is welcoming delegates from more than 40 countries across the globe. Canada is well represented with a number of delegates including Liz Weaver from Tamarack and Tom Cooper from the Hamilton Roundtable for Poverty Reduction. We will be sharing the story of Vibrant Communities: Cities Reducing Poverty in Canada and the Communities First: Impacts of Community Engagement partnership project with Carleton University.
The theme for the three days are health, wealth and power. How can we build a community engaged or community led process that truly builds on the strengths and capacity of all citizens? This is the key question to be explored in this city of Glasgow with deep roots and history?
