Thinking Differently About Building Communities

The wisdom of Peter Block

I know I've been part of a powerful learning experience when the ideas and concepts introduced linger with me for days.  That has certainly been my experience as one of the more than 100 participants who recently joined Peter Block on Tamarack's tele-learning call last week.

In the seminar, entitled Creating Change Through Consent & Connectedness, Peter shared is evolving view of the power of community as a vehicle for social change and how -- at its core -- the work of building community is as simple and as challenging as creating opportunities for meaningful connection between people about the places and spaces that they care about.

So today, several days later, as some of Peter's phrases and insights continue to percolate my thinking, I am reminded that this work is as much about the HOW as it is about the WHAT.

If you weren't able to be part of this powerful learning experience, I would highly recommend that you make time to access Peter's wisdom by downloading the podcast which is now available at: http://tamarackcci.ca/content/creating-change-through-consent-and-connectedness-peter-block-0
