Cost of Poverty

Alexa Briggs, Associate Director of Strategy and Research and  Celia Lee, Research and Community Liaison from Vibrant Communities Calgary recently co-authored and released a report on the Costs of Poverty: An Economic Case for a Preventative Poverty Reduction Strategy in Alberta. Poverty costs Alberta over $9 billion annually. The report makes the case that this requires urgent attention.  Other provinces and territories are embarking on similar journeys and reports. Join in the call and ask your questions as Alexa, Celia and Liz Weaver discuss the report, the process of developing it, launch, and outcomes from its release.
