Innoweave Collective Impact Workshop Module Begins September 2013

Collective Impact is an effective way for a community to solve big challenges by creating a shared, multi-sector understanding of the problem; a common vision; and, an action plan with shared measurements to solve it.  While the concept is easy to explain, implementing it may seem daunting.  Fortunately, it has now become easier to access help and support to implement a collective impact approach thanks to Innoweave.  

Tamarack is pleased to be developing and delivering the content of the Collective Impact Module of Innoweave’s curriculum for communities collaborating for change.  We will be hosting the first of two workshops available as part of Innoweave’s Collective Impact series to qualified organizations at no cost in September 2013 in Toronto.  Applications from interested participants are due by August 12th, 2013. 

Innoweave is an initiative created by the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation in collaboration with Social Innovation Generation and others that helps community organizations to access practical tools for social innovation and implement them to enhance their impact.  Innoweave’s curriculum is made up of independent modules that are each made up of three elements:

1. A website of basic information;
2. A workshop to learn more; and,
3. Coaching and grants made available to eligible organizations to support implementation.

Innoweave currently has seven modules now available and two others in development.  The modules are:

• Collective Impact
• Cloud Computing
• Developmental Evaluation
• Impact and Strategic Clarity
• Outcomes Finance
•  Social Finance
• Knowledge Mobilization (in development)
• Changelabs (in development) 

For community sector leaders, the opportunity to learn about and apply the new tools and processes you need to effect large-scale social change in today’s complex and rapidly changing world may now be more accessible than ever thanks to Innoweave.
