This Learning Plan is a sample agreement developed to guide the focused efforts of multiple partners and networks in working together to reduce poverty in the city of Edmonton.  The Plan's “activities” include shaping existing activities and disseminating their results. The “learning” includes documenting the increased knowledge and insight gained through their collective action. The “community” represents a range of networks that begins with the Leadership Council and extends through the circles of influence of its members.

By intentionally acknowledging the need to not just act but also learn together and disseminate that learning to others, this agreement demonstrates the importance of explicitly integrating action and learning together at the foundation of any long-term effort for impact and change.
