The Headwaters Community Well-Being Report, developed by the citizen group Headwaters Communities in Action (HCIA), is intended to raise public awareness and act as a catalyst for positive community change.
The report, which is grounded in extensive citizen input, profiles nine specific topic areas using both data measures and community stories. Since its launch it has be responsible for initiating more in-depth community conversations – across sectors and communities – throughout Dufferin County and the Town of Caledon.
HCIA Chair, Leesa Fawcett stressed that the collaboration and citizen participation that were essential to creating the report will be equally important in addressing the issues and opportunities it highlights. by the report. “It will take the combined effort of individual citizens, businesses, non-profits, and government working together to find creative solutions for shared action for vibrant just and sustainable community living.”
