The Common Agenda and Community Engagement - Paul Born

At the heart of building a common agenda is to bring together those who have the power, knowledge and assets to bring an agreed path forward toward reality. This workshop will help you frame the engagement process you will need to undertake to build an effective collective impact campaign.

Collective Learning and Shared Measurement - Mark Cabaj

In this workshop participants will explore the key components and roles of a backbone organization.  Workshop participants will learn about the leadership competencies required for working in community change and about the constellation model of governance.

How do members of a collective impact initiative grapple with the reality that changes are due in part to their activities and in part to other factors.

Social Strategies: Social media as a tool for dynamic communication - Lisa Attygalle  

Social media can be a curse, wasting your time and taking you down a never ending road of catching up or your best friend. Discover how social media can be integrated into your continuous communication strategy. See examples of organizations who are doing it well and learn the key principles that are making them successful.

Collective Governance: A tool for convening a leadership round table - Liz Weaver

Friendraising: A Tool for Raising Funds - Paul Born

How do we engage donors early in our work so that funds will never be an issue for your work? The key strategies for raising funds for big ideas will be discussed.

Getting at Root Causes: Find different ways to find leverage points for change - Mark Cabaj

 If you are trying to tackle a complex issue, you need to get a grasp on its “root causes”. Participants will be exposed to four different techniques for mapping out the factors underlying tough community issues.

Gather Your Tribe: Databases as a key tool for engaging your constituency - Lisa Attygalle

 Having a usable database is one of the most valuable assets in your Collective Impact initiative. Learn methods for growing and using your database to achieve progress and scale.
